Embed in WordPress
WordPress accepts your embed code through its Custom HTML block, whether you are using the block editor or the classic editor. See Embedding basics if you have not gotten your code from Share & Embed yet.
Using the block editor
Section titled “Using the block editor”Add a Custom HTML block to your page or post, paste your embed code into it, and preview it to confirm your menu shows up correctly before you publish.
Using the classic editor
Section titled “Using the classic editor”If your site still uses the classic editor, switch from the Visual tab to the Text tab, paste your embed code where you want the menu to appear, then switch back to Visual to check it, before you update the page.
If your site is hosted on WordPress.com
Section titled “If your site is hosted on WordPress.com”Self-hosted WordPress sites can use the Custom HTML block freely. If your site is hosted on WordPress.com, embed code like an iframe needs a paid plan, starting with Personal, with your plan’s hosting features turned on. On the free WordPress.com plan, the embed code gets stripped out and your menu will not appear. If you run into this, upgrade to a paid plan, or self-host WordPress instead.
How to embed your menu in WordPress
Section titled “How to embed your menu in WordPress”- Open Share & Embed on your published menu and copy the embed code.
- In the block editor, add a Custom HTML block.
- Paste your embed code into the block.
- Use the block’s preview to confirm your menu appears, then publish or update the page.
- If your site is on WordPress.com, make sure you are on a paid plan, Personal or higher, before you rely on this.
