Supported languages, currencies, and sizes
This page lists the full set of options behind several features covered elsewhere in these docs: menu translation languages, currencies, page sizes, fonts, background pattern categories, and timezones. Use it as a lookup rather than reading it start to finish.
Translation languages (27)
Section titled “Translation languages (27)”Menu Author can translate your menu’s content into any of the following 27 languages. Translations are available on the Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise plans, not on Free. See Translate your menu for how adding, translating, and approving a language works.
English, Greek, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Croatian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese.
Currencies (25, plus no symbol and as typed)
Section titled “Currencies (25, plus no symbol and as typed)”Every menu item price can be shown in one of 25 currencies, with two additional modes for when a fixed currency does not fit:
| Currency | Symbol |
|---|---|
| US Dollar | $ |
| Euro | € |
| British Pound | £ |
| Japanese Yen | ¥ |
| Canadian Dollar | C$ |
| Australian Dollar | A$ |
| Swiss Franc | CHF |
| Chinese Yuan | ¥ |
| Indian Rupee | ₹ |
| Brazilian Real | R$ |
| Mexican Peso | $ |
| New Zealand Dollar | NZ$ |
| Swedish Krona | kr |
| Norwegian Krone | kr |
| Danish Krone | kr |
| Polish Złoty | zł |
| South African Rand | R |
| Singapore Dollar | S$ |
| Hong Kong Dollar | HK$ |
| South Korean Won | ₩ |
| Thai Baht | ฿ |
| Israeli Shekel | ₪ |
| Turkish Lira | ₺ |
| Russian Ruble | ₽ |
| UAE Dirham | AED |
Alongside these 25, two more modes cover everything else:
- No symbol: strips any currency symbol so only the number shows, useful for a price written as “Market” or when you would rather keep pricing understated.
- As typed: skip choosing a currency at all, and Menu Author leaves your prices exactly as you type them, symbols included.
Page sizes
Section titled “Page sizes”Every page uses one of the following presets, or you can set custom dimensions if none of them fit your menu. This is the size a page uses both on screen and when you export or print it:
- US Letter (8.5x11 in), plus US Letter landscape
- US Legal (8.5x14 in), plus US Legal landscape
- US Tabloid (11x17 in)
- A4 (210x297 mm), plus A4 landscape
- A5 (148x210 mm), plus A5 landscape
- Half-letter (5.5x8.5 in)
- Square small (6x6 in)
- Square large (10x10 in)
- Custom dimensions, for anything the presets above don’t cover
If a page does not match a standard size closely enough, Menu Author falls back to US Letter as the default, oriented to match whatever you are working from. See Multi-page menus for where to change a page’s size.
Fonts (40)
Section titled “Fonts (40)”Choose from a library of 40 fonts, organized by category:
- Default: Inter.
- System fonts: Arial, Georgia, Helvetica, Times New Roman, Courier New, Verdana.
- Display serifs: Playfair Display, Abril Fatface, Cinzel, DM Serif Display, Marcellus.

Pattern categories
Section titled “Pattern categories”Backgrounds include 50+ patterns, organized into four categories: Geometric, Textures, Botanical, and Dark. Every pattern has editable foreground and background colors, so you can match one to your palette rather than settle for its defaults. See Backgrounds, patterns, and frames for how to apply one.
Timezone support
Section titled “Timezone support”Menu Author is timezone-aware throughout the app. Pick from hundreds of timezones, and dates and timestamps you see, such as entries in your activity log, display in your own timezone rather than a fixed one.
How to set your menu’s currency and page size
Section titled “How to set your menu’s currency and page size”- In the editor, click an empty area of the canvas so nothing is selected, which opens the property panel’s Canvas section.
- Choose a currency from the currency list, or set it to No symbol or leave it unset for As typed.
- Choose a page size preset, or set custom dimensions if none of the presets fit.
- Continue editing. Both settings apply to the whole menu.
For fonts, see Typography, and for translation languages, see Translate your menu.
