Keyboard shortcuts
The editor is built for a keyboard and mouse first, and a set of shortcuts cover the actions you reach for constantly: undoing a change, duplicating something, copying and pasting, and saving. This page is the complete table.

They stay out of the way while you type
Section titled “They stay out of the way while you type”These shortcuts apply to the canvas, not to text you are actively typing. While your cursor is inside a text element, editing an item’s name or a section’s description, the keys above stand aside and behave the way you would expect in any text field instead of triggering a canvas action. For example, pressing Ctrl+A while you are editing a description selects the text inside that field, not every element on the page. You do not need to click away from what you are typing to avoid triggering one of these by accident.
How to save a menu without waiting on autosave
Section titled “How to save a menu without waiting on autosave”- Make the change you want in the editor.
- Press Cmd+S on a Mac, or Ctrl+S on Windows.
- Watch the save state indicator in the top bar cycle from Saving to Saved.
The editor autosaves on its own, so this shortcut is only for when you want the peace of mind of triggering it yourself. See Saving, autosave, and version history for how autosave, drafts, and version history work together.
